Holiday Itinerary
Arrive in Easter Island at Mataveri Airport. On arrival we will meet you and escort you to your hotel for the evening.

Your Easter Island tour begins with a visit to the ruins of the temple of Akahanga to admire the moai, before continuing to the volcano of Rano Raraku which is where the moai were carved from the rock of the volcano. You can enjoy a short climb to the volcanic crater to see the small lake that sits within the crater and to see part-finished moai at various stages of construction. You will then visit Ahu Tongariki which is where many of the moai were toppled by a large seaquake in 1960 before the day concludes at Anakena beach where you will have time to swim in the beautiful waters.

This morning visit the site of Ahu Vinapu then travel to Rano Kau volcano which has a giant crater with a freshwater lagoon in its centre. Next to the volcano is the ceremonial town of Orongo which consists of little stone "houses" where there is also a concentration of carved petroglyphs. In the afternoon visit Ahu Akivi which is one of the iconic sites on the island and was the first site to be properly excavated and restored in the 1960’s, then visit Puna Pau which is where the stone "hats" which adorn the moai were made.

At the appropriate time for your flight we will escort you back from your hotel to Mataveri Airport so you can take your return flight back to the Chile mainland.

Depending on time of year, departure airport and airline preference flight prices start from around £800pp economy.
