Like much of South America the country of Chile is incredibly photogenic. The scenery is among the best in the world with lakes, geysers, mountains, deserts, valleys and rivers all painting a beautiful backdrop that is just waiting to be photographed and admired. Torres del Paine
Torres del Paine is incredibly photogenic with awe-inspiring landscapes that need to be seen in real life to be appreciated. This region is the main attraction of Chile and deservedly so, as it is one of the most stunning locations on earth.
Lake Grey in Torres del Paine National Park
Lake Grey is a beautiful lake in Torres del Paine national park that is fed from a giant glacier at one end of the lake. Day cruise tours are possible from Puerto Natales.
Atacama's Desert Lakes
The Atacama deset is famous for being the driest place on earth, but it also home to some stunning high-altitude salt lakes. These lakes are located in wonderful locations, often surrounded by a volcanic back-drop, and are home to a variety of wildlife including flamingos.
Moon Valley in Atacama Desert
The Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) in Chile's atacama desert region is near to the town of San Pedro de Atacama. Over thousands of years wind and rain have carved the stones and rocks in this valley into stunning and unique shapes making this a bizarre but beautiful place to experience.
The Night Sky in the Atacama
The Atacama Desert is world famous for its clear skies and is home to large observatories and telescopes to watch the stars. However you don't need a telescope to appreciate the power of the universe - due to the altitude and lack of light pollution all you need to do is cast your gaze upwards to see the wonder of the milky way stretching across the night sky.
Frutillar in the Lake District
The small city of Frutillar is located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue in the beautiful Lake District region near to Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas. The city itself is pretty but most people visit this region for the views of Osorno Volcano across the lake.
Chiloe Island
This delightful island off the western coast of Chile is in the Lake District region of the country. The island has rich wildlife and incredible scenery and is also well known for its UNESCO World Heritage listed wooden churches.
Easter Island
This iconic island and UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most remote and mysterious places on Earth, covered in almost 900 monolithic "Moai" statues carved by the islands long lost original inhabitants hundreds of years ago.
