The tiny volcanic island of Rapa Nui is a tiny dot hidden in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, but this tiny island has fascinated travellers and explorers for centuries due to its mysterious history and the remarkable stone "moai" statues that adorn the landscape. Today the island is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a fantastic destination for all intrepid travellers.
The island is home to some beautiful hotels each of which capture the charm and beauty of the island. Most of the hotels are located in and around the small town of Hanga Roa on the western coast which allows easy access to key locations on the island (which is only around 18km across at its widest point) as well as providing somewhere to explore at night if you so wish.
